We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Co-Child Care Director to assist with leading our team and overseeing the daily operations of our center. This role is ideal for a strong leader who is passionate about early childhood education and brings extensive knowledge of child care licensing regulations and compliance.
Position Summary:
The Director is responsible for the overall management of the center, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for children, families, and staff. This position requires strong licensing knowledge and the ability to confidently maintain full compliance with all state regulations, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the center
- Ensure full compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with licensing standards
- Supervise, train, and support staff
- Maintain proper staff-to-child ratios
- Build and maintain positive relationships with families
- Manage enrollment, tours, and parent communication
- Monitor curriculum implementation and classroom quality
- Handle scheduling, staffing, and administrative responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
- Previous leadership experience in a child care setting
- Strong knowledge of state licensing regulations and compliance requirements (required)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass a background check
